WHAT IT DOES

Combines cable-operated range selection with direct shift-solenoid switching. In the documented AW4/A340 standalone manual installation, shift-solenoid circuits #1 and #2 are disconnected from the factory TCM outputs and connected to VX. The VX switches command those solenoids directly.

WHAT ELSE YOU NEED

Torque converter lockup is a separate circuit. To select between factory automatic shifting and RAD manual control, use the separate Automatic / Manual Transmission Control Switch Kit with a functioning factory TCM.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Current variants are AW4 / A340 4-speed and 03-72LE. Match the exact variant and installation guide. A340H auxiliary and transfer-case circuits require application-specific review; this kit does not manage every drivetrain circuit.

KIT & SETUP DETAILS
VX shifter with control kit, a 5-foot shift cable, transmission brackets and hardware, mounting brackets and extra stops. All current VX shifters are supplied in black powder coat.
Do I still have Park, Reverse and Neutral?
Yes. The mechanical lever and cable operate the transmission range selector. The added switches provide electronic forward-gear commands. They do not replace mechanical range selection.
