The new Rock floor shifter:

Rock Solid Design, Rock solid performance-Forward to Reverse direct shifting.

The TCM is not required, but can be used.

Rock Shifter: pics(Stock replacement alone, in factory location,

set back model installed,(covers are custom for this install) and set back ready to ship.

Highlights:

• Heavy duty design for off roaders.
• Use with or without the TCM or a Rail or Baja shifter.
• Uses a stock XJ shift cable in the Jeeps and a cable is included with the Toyota model.
• Simple minimal parts.
• Direct gated Forward to Reverse shifting, no pulling the button, pulling the release twice or lifting up the shift handle to shift.
• Bolts in stock XJ location or can be relocated back nearer to you. A cable relocation kit is available for the Jeeps.
• Still requires one of our shifters to be able to choose 1st-4th gears manually.
• Note to Wrangler users it requires a XJ shift cable to connect to it. (e-bay is your friend.)
• Still allows manual shifting of all gear locations the factory shifter does.

Jeep: The Rock Shifter is a replacement for the factory floor shifters in Jeep Cherokees with the AW4 transmissions. Adding a Rail or a Baja will give you a direct forward(1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th) to reverse gated shift. No detents, no buttons to push or triggers to lift. The Rail with the mounting plate or a Baja shift controller can be directly mounted to the Rock or mounted separately in your location of choice.

Uses the stock XJ shift cable and can be either mounted right in the stock location without removing the factory console(see above photo). Also available in a more convenient set back location model, this will require fabbing you own mount base specific to your mounting location. There are too many options here and I won't try to guess your mounting location with what height or right or left location. A simple piece of 2"x 2" x 3/16" angle iron/aluminum can work easily for this.

Also setting the shifter back may require relocating you e-brake for clearance. "Measure twice cut once."

Toyota: There is also a model for the Toyota A340's, this is not a direct bolt in. It comes with a new shift cable and the needed brackets for the transmission. For mounting some minor fab work will be required, great for your buggy allowing you to move the shifter back closer to you.
